Alpe de Lusia

Alpe Lusia, in the Dolomites, is a popular ski destination recognized for its diverse slopes and sophisticated facilities. It offers skiing for all skill levels, from novice to expert, making it a popular choice for both families and serious skiers. The ski area has around 29 kilometers of slopes divided into two main zones: Bellamonte, which is excellent for families and novice skiers, and Moena, which offers more challenging terrain.

Technically, Alpe Lusia features 8 lifts, including gondolas and chairlifts, to efficiently serve skiers and reduce wait times. The ski slopes vary in difficulty, with easy (blue) slopes comprising 11 kilometers, intermediate (red) slopes covering 16 kilometers, and steep (black) slopes totaling 2 kilometers. The ski area’s highest point is 2,340 meters, offering a wide elevation variation and magnificent views.

One notable feature is its enormous snowmaking system, which ensures great snow quality throughout 98% of the skiable terrain. There is also a snow park for freestyle skiers and snowboarders, complete with jumps, rails, and boxes for an exciting ride. The area has well-maintained cross-country ski paths across gorgeous landscapes, which adds to the diversity of winter sports available.

Alpe Lusia also has family-friendly services, such as ski schools and entertaining slopes for kids, as well as charming mountain huts that serve wonderful local food and provide panoramic views of the Dolomites. The area’s proximity to Moena and Bellamonte allows for convenient access to lodging and après-ski activities.
